MyInwood.Net
Client: Real Estate Agent, Cole Thompson
Real estate agents, I want to talk to you! The real estate industry has become one of the most advanced areas of internet marketing. There are so many ways to get your product out in front of the eyes of home buyers and sellers these days and I think we’re only getting started. It was a great learning experience building my first real estate site. But I really have to hand it to my client, Cole Thompson for providing such incredible content. Even better, Cole knew nothing about Wordpress when we started but now, only a month later, he is a WordPress pro, writing his own pages, adding listings and creating slide shows all on his own. Most of the pages you see on this site were laid-out by Cole himself. It is a true testament to the usability of WordPress by people who once knew nothing about web design. Trust me, You can do it too! Here are some of the great features built in to this site:
- -Google Maps Integration
- -Automatic Feeds to Listing Services, Trulia, Zillow, Google Base, Yahoo and more!
- Slide show gallery integration for every listing
- Video and 360-degree panorama capable
MyInwood was built using the Tauren Pro Theme

TrishaPosner.Com - Client: Miami Herald Columnist, Trisha Posner
Let me just say that I love working for writers. Why? They do the writing! Trisha Posner is a great client. She had so many great ideas for this site. Trisha wanted a one-stop shop for all of the articles she’s written for different publications over the years. We decided to go with a magazine format using this great template, Mimbo Pro. Trisha sifted through the incredible stock photo resource, Istockphoto.com for these great images. There are so many ways to zero in on her content, it is hard to miss any of the 40+ articles stored on this site. If Mimbo Pro looks like a good choice for you, I say go for it because I can really make this template sing.
Keep your eyes right here for the new website coming in January ‘09 for Trisha’s husband, investigative reporter and New York Times best-selling author, Gerald Posner. - That’s January ‘09!

Atlas Orthogonal of New York - Client: Dr. Patrick Kerr
Another great website built on the ultimate HTML framework -Thesis by DIYThemes. Look for many more Hudson Moon sites to be built with this great template. Dr. Kerr really wanted to get the word out about his practice so a search-engine-friendly website was his #1 requirement. Thankfully we got a chance to put it to the test. When Dr. Kerr appeared on the nationally syndicated medical talk-show, “The Doctors”, the name and address of his website was never mentioned during the program. Despite this, over 1,100 people found the site and viewed over 10,000 pages in a single day. Now, Dr. Kerr’s office is still trying to get through the mountain of emails he received asking about his services. Making your website 100% visible to all inclined to search for you is standard on all Hudson Moon Sites.

DreamingGreenBook.Com - Companion site for the book, “Dreaming Green Eco Fabulous Homes Designed to Inspire.” Clients: Lisa Sharkey & Paul Gleicher
Dreaming Green was built using the Arthemia Premium Theme by Michael Jubel Hutagalung. A true example of extreme CSS surgery, this face lift was made possible by Chris Pearson’s brilliant custom CSS style sheet scheme, making the CSS upgrade-proof. The site boasts no less than 5 custom contact forms with image upload capability. It is also my first site using the HeadSpace2 SEO plugin. So far so good. The site was indexed by Google in no time. Is the site working? You bet. Orders for books were placed even before the announcement. Special thanks to those who clicked - Whoever you are…

Diane Dimond.Net - The Official Website of Investigative Reporter & Author Diane Dimond

Diane’s site was built using the Thesis theme by DIY Themes. This is one of my favorite themes due to its impeccable typography and built-in features. Thesis is very classy and comes off as a very serious layout. But because of its separate, custom style sheet, Thesis is really a chameleon that can be styled into anything you want while still maintaining the functions that made it famous. As for Diane, she’s getting rave reviews from her readers and building steadily increasing traffic. Just check out the comment counts to see how Diane’s readers are using this site.

Tide of Tears.Com - Website for the upcoming documentary, “Tide of Tears: The Collapse of the Cajun Coast” - Client: Producer Stephanie Kovac
When Stephanie came to me with this Idea, I thought, “No problem…A little flash intro and 4 content pages.” But what I didn’t realize was that she wanted a movie-style intro with fading opening titles. This was something I have never done before and for one night I thought this job was mine to lose. However, persistence won the day and the site came out exactly to Stephanie’s specs. After this, I know I can do just about anything. Tide of Tears is rising steadily up the ranking order in the American Express Members Project competition.
Also, TideofTears.Com is a great example of Wordpress being used as a website Content Management System rather than a blog.

SusanFilan.Com - The place for the Truth About Justice. Client: Susan F. Filan, Esq., Former Prosecutor and MSNBC Senior Legal Analyst
Susan’s site is also using the Thesis theme but notice the custom colors and typography. This is just the tip of the iceberg to how Thesis can be customized. This site is currently undergoing final tweaks and will be used as a business card site. But in the coming months, look for Susan to become one of the internet’s premiere legal bloggers.

There’s No Love Like Your First…or…The Test-Tube Baby that Started it All…
My BedHead.Net

I can’t tell if this site was a labor of love or just all-out insanity. Despite it’s age, I still hold it very close to my heart so it must be love. My BedHead as been rebuilt a gazillion times over almost 2 years. Each time a learned a little more. It is packed with features including an automated slide show on the front page and a photo upload form so readers can upload their BedHead pictures. The form has safeguards so hackers can’t wreck the site. A testament to its novelty, the site still sees decent traffic despite the fact that I haven’t updated it in months. It was built using the Neoclassical theme made by the same template designer who brings us Thesis. Sure, Neoclassical is now considered “old” by today’s standards but it seems to have been made for BedHeads. The entire story of this site is yet to be written. I still have big plans for My BedHead.
