Hi!

Welcome…

You’re probably looking at this page because you have something very important, something near and dear to your heart that you want to share with the world. There’s nothing more exciting than sharing your talents and interests with a worldwide audience.

I build it. You USE it.

But to do this, to take this leap, you may have to learn a few new things. You may already have experience with Wordpress or perhaps, none at all. Whatever your level of expertise, my aim is to get you USING your website. You’d be surprised how easy it is. A website shouldn’t be a dead end on the internet. It shouldn’t be as static or as stale as the engraving on a gravestone. Your website should be alive and ready to roll with the times. Because a day without new content is like a day without sunshine. My goal is to make websites that become a useful extension of you. I’ll build a site you can be proud of and I will work as much or as long as it takes to get you posting like a pro.

Has anyone taken a look at MyInwood.Net lately? It’s blossomed a bit – getting a jump on spring I guess you could say. And obviously, if you’re reading this, you may have noticed a few changes here at HMP.

It seems I’ve gone a bit Thesis-crazy.

Some kind of new fad, you ask? More like an event on par with the invention of the socket wrench or drywall even. The Thesis HTML framework by DIYThemes’ Chris Pearson is not a fad. It is a strong, elegant and infinitely interchangeable framework that makes developing web sites a dream. [click to continue…]

“Life comes at you pretty fast. If you don’t stop and take a look around once in a while…you can miss it.” Those famous words were spoken by Ferris Bueller 20 years ago and they were never more true today. It’s scary out there but at the same time, it has never been a more exciting time to be an American. Sure you could have the same 401K you had 24 months ago, toiling away in a cubicle with a health plan. But now you’re out of a job and teetering on the brink of disaster! Awesome! Now you can stop, smell the flowers and really think about what you want to do with your life.

In the midst of what must be the worst real estate slump in U.S. history, one man is determined to shatter the icy frost coating the real estate market. My friend, licensed real estate agent Cole Thompson dreamed of doing business in a new and personal way. He dug deep into the history and beauty of his neighborhood, gathering every scrap of information he could about his hometown. He is now the ultimate spokesperson and expert on this little enclave in northern Manhattan known as Inwood.

What a dream its been to work on this project. Trisha and her husband, investigative reporter and best-selling author, Gerald Posner dove right in, providing great ideas and support throughout. For the past month we’ve been a power-trio, testing new features and sharing ideas to make this baby come to life. I really have to thank them for being so patient and eager to learn new things.

Did you know that your head which typically weighs 9 to 17 pounds is held on by a 2-ounce bone? Its a lot of work for the C-1 vertebra or “Atlas Bone” as it is also known as. And if you have friends like mine, you have a lot of sympathy for that little sucker… But that’s only part of it. Dr. Patrick Kerr, Board Certified Atlas Orthogonist has a huge weight on his shoulders. He’s one of only a few B.C.A.O’s in the New York metropolitan area. That’s a lot of heads to straighten out.
